Story
Built in the early 1600s by Count Ludovico Ronchi under commission from Duke Alfonso III d’Este, this magnificent villa served as a residence for the noble houses of Este and Farnese until the mid-17th century, before becoming the home of the Marquises Coccapani. In 1918, it passed to the Counts Pignatti Morano and welcomed illustrious guests such as the poet and painter Alessandro Tassoni, the scholar Girolamo Tiraboschi, and the writer Ludovico Antonio Muratori. Privately owned since 1970, the villa stands just a few steps from the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Fiorano Modenese.
